On the one hand, we consult the broad population of Kessel-Lo, and on the other hand, we come together intensively with a fixed group of 25 inhabitants who form the citizens' panel. The programme is in several stages: first we questioned the broad public, next we generated ideas. Next, we plan en experiment together. All of this forms the input for the new and more ambitious mobility plan for Kessel-Lo. In addition, the citizen panel will eventually formulate policy recommendations for Kessel-Lo and together we will turn these plans and ideas into concrete actions.
With this approach, the city and Leuven 2030 aim to 'shape the city' together with its inhabitants. And this with the goal to make room in the best possible way for sustainable mobility, more biodiversity and an attractive public space in general.
